The Nyack Middle School PTA is welcoming back its staff, students and their families in style with a fun-filled barbeque on the school's baseball field on Friday, September 20 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. In addition, the happening will be a great opportunity for families to welcome the new Middle School principal, Dr. David McCalla, and Assistant Principals, Linda Vergara and Nicole Saieva.

Dr. McCalla, from Naples Florida, assumed the principal's position in July, after a nationwide search to replace Marty Fiedler, who retired in December. Ms. Vergara and Ms. Saieva started on September 1, replacing retiring administrator, Carol Rubel, and Michael Phillips.

On Friday, there will be a DJ, plenty of food and carnival games to help the whole family have a good time. In case of the rain, the event will be held in the school's gym. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and an RSVP (353-7200) is encouraged for planning purposes.
