Re: TIMELINE: REVIEW & REVISION OF DISTRICT SAFETY PLAN & CODE OF CONDUCT
In July, per the New York State SAVE (Safe Schools Against Violence in Education Act) legislation requirement, the School Board adopted a Districtwide Safety Plan, and Code of Conduct Plan. The intent, stipulated in the adoption, was to have the plans reviewed, with consideration of new input, by the representative committees that had developed them, and then reevaluated in the fall.
The following is the TIMELINE for the reevaluation process, which begins at this October 16 Board meeting:
OCTOBER 16 Board Meeting: Upper Nyack School
Discussion of Committees' Response to Input
NOVEMBER 6: Deadline for Board/community input on response & plans
NOVEMBER 16: Input compiled and sent to Board Trustees and available to the community upon request
DECEMBER 4 Board Meeting: Nyack Middle School Discussion, review & adoption of plans, if revised.
Input can be sent to the Superintendent via phone (353-7010), fax 353-7019, mail (address above) or e-mail (www.info.nyackdo.lhric.org)
