Keeping it “REAL” in Nyack Schools
Relationships, Engagement, Academics
and Learning is the dynamic that supports our number
one goal – to challenge each of our students to reach
his/her potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Helping
to sustain this challenge is another key District goal – teacher
participation in ongoing, meaningful, professional development.
Nurturing strong relationships that engage us in rigorous academics that
enable us to become a community of lifelong learners is how these two
goals work together to keep it REAL in Nyack.
Keeping
it real also means that our schools are partners with our families and
greater community in putting our children first. Each of us has a key
role to play, whether it is being a mentor, role model, participant in
activities, or just by showing continuous concern and interest in our
children’s future.This
website aims to strengthen these vital connections by providing
information, a welcome to meetings and events, and an invitation to
become more involved in our schools. We look forward to hearing from
you, seeing you, and working together to shape a brighter future for all
our children.
