High School Principal's Search Reopened Nyack Schools has reopened the search for a new High School principal. The search process, begun in November, resulted in 160 applicants, with 13 interviewed and 3 finalists chosen. Although there were fine candidates , it was decided that none met the needs of the District sufficiently. The position has been readvertised with a closing date for applications of February 20. An appointment is anticipated in early April.
Interim Principal Appointed at Valley Cottage Elementary
NYACK HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL SEARCH: The High School has a vital personnel appointment to be made this year. Dan Nicholson is an Interim Principal, who will be leaving the District in June. The permanent position will be widely advertised in newspapers, professional journals and through professional networks, with an appointment expected in March. Two parents will be on the Interview Committee, participating in the interviews of finalists (January 12-13), per the timeline below. We will randomly choose a letter of the alphabet to start calling names from the list we compile to serve on the Committee.
